A visual representation of a signal trace can be very helpful.

Just click the Show Diagram button to see how the traced signal propagates across the entire design hierarchy or just along a particular path to/from a load/driver.

A visual representation of a signal trace can be very helpful. Start by tracing a signal. The Trace Connections View is populated with the subset of the design affected by the trace. Click Show Diagram for the visual representation.

The resulting trace diagram shows how the signal propagates across the entire design hierarchy. Non-combinational logic blocks that drive or are driven by the traced signal are marked with different colors.

You can inspect a particular path from the traced signal to any other signal by selecting Show Path. Click Show Diagram for the visual representation.
