When working with large diagrams, the magnifier lets you zoom in specific regions of interest.

Activating the Magnifier

There are two ways to activate the magnifier.

  1. Press and hold the Z key to show it. Release the key to hide it.
  2. Alternatively, press the M key once to show the magnifier, and press again to hide it.

Adjusting the Size and Zoom Level

You can change the size and zoom level of the magnifier.

  • To adjust the size, scroll up or down while holding the Ctrl key pressed.
  • To adjust the zoom level, scroll up or down while holding the Shift key pressed.
  • Press Ctrl-0 to reset the size and zoom to their default values.

All of the diagram actions are still available, even when the magnifier is visible, such as selection, step into, go to source, and so on.

Supported Diagram Types

The magnifier works in the same way for UVM component diagrams, UML diagrams, or FSM diagrams.
