14.9 Automatic Indentation As You Type

The auto-indentation preference allows you to choose how the code is automatically indented as you type.

You can choose the auto-indentation mechanism from: Window -> Preferences -> DVT -> SystemVerilog -> Editor.

Available options are:

Disabled: Auto-indentation will not be performed.
Default: Auto-indentation of a new line matches the indentation of the last line.
Advanced (new engine): Auto-indentation is in line with the formatter's indentation.
